We are a firm of solicitors with offices based at 32 Bloomsbury Street, in Bloomsbury, London WC1.
We have an experienced employment law team which includes employment barrister Kevin Harris (called to the Bar in 1999). We also have as a consultant, Stephen Jarrett, who is an experienced HR Advisor, there are other fee earning staff who undertake employment work.
We act for both employers and employees.
Our fees and charges are transparent and reasonable and are set out upon on our firm’s website.
In appropriate situations, we will consider “no win no fee” arrangements with employment claims or fixed fee instructions when acting for employers in defence of such claims.
EMPLOYMENT LAW AND SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT Work
We set out below some examples of typical type of work which we carry out
- We are acting for a number of employees who are pursuing employment law claims in the Employment Tribunal including for unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, disability and sex discrimination.
- We represent employees who suffer from work-related stress/depression following micromanagement and/or bullying and harassment and/or working excessive number of hours.
- We defend employees in relation to proposals to make them redundant or proposals to put them on performance management.
- We represent employers in the defence of Employment Tribunal claims including sex and disability discrimination and/or unfair dismissal.
- We provide advice to employers in relation to how to make employees redundant and/or how to resolve issues with employees.
- We represent employees in relation to settlement agreements providing full and detailed service to them – including amending the draft settlement agreement to make such agreement commercially acceptable to sign.
- For employers, we prepare employments contracts, privacy notices and also agreements to be signed by their self-employed workers.
- We provide advice in relation to the proposed sale or transfer of businesses
